HICKORY, NC- After they go for the series sweep in Delmarva on Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m., the Crawdads are coming home for a FUN-filled weekend home set against the West Virginia Power, starting this Thursday at 7 p.m.!
The Crawdads are 25-25 this season and are currently in 3rd place in the Northern Division, 11.0 games behind the 1st-Place Greensboro Grasshoppers.

'Dads Odor named SAL PLayer of the Week
The South Atlantic League announced on Tuesday that Hickory Crawdads 2B Rougned Odor has been named the SAL Player of the Week for the week of May 21 - 27.
Odor is the youngest player in the league at just 18 years old. The Maracaibo, Venezuela native clubbed .364 (8-for-22) with one home run, five doubles and four RBIs through his seven games on the week. Odor also scored seven runs, while adding three walks and two stolen bases.
106th former Crawdad gets the call to the Majors!
Former Hickory SS Jordy Mercer ('08) has become the 106th former Crawdad to make the Major Leagues after he was called up by the Pittsburgh Pirates earlier this week.
In 50 games with the Crawdads during the 2008 season, Mercer compiled a .250 batting average with 18 RBIs and four home runs. Prior to joining the Pirates this season, Mercer posted a .303 batting average with 11 doubles, three home runs, and 22 RBIs through 47 games with the Indianapolis Indians (AAA).
PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:
-The Crawdads have outscored the Shorebirds, 17-3, through the first two games of the current series
-Hickory posted it's fourth shutout win of the season on Tuesday in Delmarva, 9-0
-The Crawdads are 23-3 when allowing four or less runs
-The Crawdads are 20-1 when leading after six innings
-LHP Victor Payano struck out a season-high 11 batters through seven scoreless innings against Delmarva on Tuesday
-INF Hanser Alberto is 2nd in the league with a .344 batting average
-Alberto is hitting .429 with runners in scoring position so far this year
-INF Luis Sardinas is currently on an 11-game hitting streak, with 17 hits since May 14
-1B Jhonny Gomez is hitting .636 in the last five games
-C Kellin Deglan has thrown out a league-leading 43.5% of base stealers this season (20-for-46)
