Coyotes Make Final Cut; Opening Day Is Just Around the Corner

(Fresno, Ca) - The Central Valley Coyotes today announced their final 22 man roster for the 2006 season. With returning players like LaMonte Jones, Wes Borba, Vai Notoa and John Gockman there are many new faces. New additions to the 2006 coyotes include 2004 "af2 Lineman of the Year" James Landers and quarterbacks Scott Rislov and Ryan Porter.

Returning Head Coach Fred Biletnikoff Jr., has added 13 new faces that are a mix of veterans and rookies, as well as two new coaches. Steve Papin has been brought in as the Defensive Coordinator; Papin coached for the San Diego Riptide last season and played in the AFL for seven years and was an honorable mention on the AFL's 50 greatest players list. Aaron Ueland has been added as Defensive and Offensive Line Coach and has been giving the task of putting pressure on opposing quarterback's while protecting ours. They are joined by returning Assistant Head Coach Daren Miller who will be entering his third season with Coach Biletnikoff.

The Central Valley Coyotes open their season at home in Selland Arena at 7:15pm against Rio Grande Valley Dorados on April 1st and will be broadcast On 1430 ESPN.
