FRESNO – The Central Valley Coyotes of the arenafootball2 league have been assigned wide receiver/linebacker Lee Finnie, offensive/defensive lineman Dwane Tauiliili and fullback/linebacker Steve Torgersen, head coach Fred Biletnikoff Jr. announced today.

"These will be three key additions to our line up," Biletnikoff Jr. said. "Each of them brings a different skill to our team."

Finnie (6-5, 225 pounds) most recently played for the Lincoln Capitols of the National Indoor Football League. In 2002 he played WR/LB with the Mobile Wizards of the af2 and joined the Sioux City Bandits of the NIFL the following season. During 2001, the Compton College graduate played for the Los Angeles Inferno of the United States Indoor Football League.

Born on June 11, 1978, Finnie resides in Lynwood, Calif.

Tauiliili (6-3, 310 pounds) has spent the last two seasons as a defensive lineman with the Fresno Red Hawks of the Golden State Amateur Football League where he recently earned All-state All American honors. Prior to joining the Red Hawks, Tauiliili played two seasons at Eastern Kentucky University after transferring from Kings River College (Reedley, Calif.) in 1996.

A local resident of Fresno, Tauiliili prepped at Roosevelt High where he also played basketball.

Torgersen (6-1, 243 pounds), who is also new to the indoor game, was a fullback for the University of California-Berkley in 2002 and 2003. Prior to playing for the Golden Bears, the back spent two productive seasons at Foothill College (Los Altos Hills, Calif.). In 2001, Torgerson rushed for over 400 yards and scored 10 touchdowns for the Owls.

Born on August 5, 1979 in Stanford, Calif., Torgersen earned all-league honors twice at Palo Alto (Calif.) High where he also played basketball and baseball.

The Coyotes will kick off their 2005 af2 season with an exhibition game at Selland Arena on March 27. The regular season starts on the road in Bakersfield on April 2. Fifty dollar deposits for 2005 Coyote season tickets, which include all nine games played at Selland Arena, are now being accepted at 559-263-9780.
