Coyle, a versatile player, can effectively play both forward and defense which will make him a valuable asset to the Barons. Tim Alexander Head Coach/General Manager of the Barons states; " I have had the opportunity to watch Jake grow up as a player over the last seven years. I believe Jake will be a very good Junior A player and an excellent Division 1 college prospect. Jake is a player that could have gone anywhere to play juniors, but decided to stay home and play with the Barons."
Coyle has made the select squads as a 15 and 16 year old. In the 16 year old select tournament in Rochester, NY, Coyle won the skills competition. Coyle currently attends Padua Franciscan High School.
