Parma,OH- The USA under 17 squad defeated the Cleveland Barons 3-2 in the North American Hockey League North Division Finals. The USA takes back the home ice advantage with a 2 games to 1 lead in the best of seven series.
The USA were lead by goals from Mike Cieslak,Joe Lavin and Tony Mosey. USA defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk had 2 assists. The Barons had goals from Pat Goebel (Parma, OH) and Josh Leonard (Allen Park, MI), Barons forwards Carter Campe(Rocky River, OH) had two assists and Tomas Petruska (Presov, Slovakia ) had an assist.
Barons goalie Bobby Jarosz (Crystal Lake, IL) took the lost making 21 save on 24 shots. USA goalie Brad Phillips picks up the win by stopping 31 of 33 shots.
Games 4 and 5 will be at the Lakefront Arena in Parma on Saturday April 22nd at 7:30PM and Sunday April 23rd at 3:30PM. Tickets are $7.00 adults, $5.00 Sr. Citizens, $3.00 children and free to Children under 12.
