Courage to Face KC Current in 2022 Challenge Cup Semifinal

Cary, NC - The National Women's Soccer League and the North Carolina Courage today announced that, as the No. 3 seed, the Courage will travel to take on No. 2 seed Kansas City Current in the 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup Semifinal on Wednesday, May 4. The match will kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET at Children's Mercy Park, and will stream live on Paramount+.

At the end of group stage play, the Courage clinched the top spot in the East Division with 12 points and a record of 3-0-3, while their semifinal opponent, Kansas City, also finished first in their division with 13 points and a record of 4-1-1.

The other semifinal match features No. 1 seed OL Reign taking on No. 4 seed Washington Spirit, also on Wednesday, May 4. That match will kick off at 8 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

The winner of each semifinal match will advance to the 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup final, slated for Saturday, May 7. The final will air live on The CBS Television Network and stream on Paramount+.

Additionally, all three matches will be streamed internationally on Twitch.

Week 2 regular-season games involving teams that advance to the final will be rescheduled to a future date.

Next up, the Courage kick-off the 2022 NWSL Regular Season on the road against Angel City FC on Friday, April 29, in the NWSL newcomers' inaugural home match. The match will air live on CBS Sports Network at 10:30 p.m. ET.
