Courage To Broadcast Game On Internet

Morrisville, NC (May 16, 2002) - The Carolina Courage will broadcast this weekend's game against the Washington Freedom live on the internet at 4:00 pm. The special internet broadcast, presented by McDonald's, can be accessed by logging on to the official Carolina Courage website, www.carolinacourage.com, as well as www.washingtonfreedom.com and the league website, www.wusa.com. Tim Nash and Dave Johnson will call the game live from RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

The Courage will play its next home game against the first-place Philadelphia Charge on Saturday, May 25 at the brand new SAS Stadium in Cary. For ticket information, call the Carolina Courage ticket office at (919) 573-7626 or log on to www.carolinacourage.com.

The Carolina Courage is a charter member of the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA). The WUSA is the world's premiere women's professional soccer league, with eight franchises located in Atlanta, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Raleigh, San Diego, San Jose, and Washington D.C.

The WUSA is owned by a unique partnership that unites Time Warner Cable, which operates the Carolina Courage and the New York Power, with several other major players in the cable industry.
