Courage FanFest this Saturday at SAS Stadium

Morrisville, NC (March 25, 2003) - Defending WUSA champion Carolina Courage will hold its second annual FanFest this Saturday, March 29th at SAS Stadium. The fun begins at 2:30 pm and lasts until 6 pm.

Fans are encouraged to come out to the stadium to meet the 2003 edition of the Carolina Courage, get autographs, pose for photographs with the players and the WUSA Founders Cup trophy, take tours of the stadium, participate in soccer clinics led by Courage players and coaches, and choose their seats for the April 5th home opener against Mia Hamm and the Washington Freedom.

Other exciting attractions include the Time Warner Cable Fun Zone, where kids can play interactive games, the Rock Wall, face-painting, and a sign-making station, where fans can create colorful signs to display at the April 5th game on national television.

Admission is free, but the concession stands and ticket office will be open all afternoon.

The Courage will begin its defense of the Founders Cup trophy on Saturday, April 5th at 2 pm at SAS Stadium in Cary. The season will begin in dramatic fashion with a rematch of the championship game, as Mia Hamm and the Washington Freedom come to town.
