CyberRays celebrate 2nd annual Girl Scouts Family Night on April 5

SAN JOSE (March 25, 2003) – The San Jose CyberRays will honor the Girl Scouts at their April 5 season-opening game against the Philadelphia Charge at Spartan Stadium.

The 7 p.m. match has been designated the 2nd Annual San Jose CyberRays Girl Scouts Family Night with special ticket offers and activities geared to the occasion.

The CyberRays have a history of working cooperatively through the Girl Scouts of Santa Clara County, Girl Scouts of the San Francisco Bay Area and the Girl Scout Council of Napa-Solano that includes programs in which Scouts earn badges, visiting with Scout troops, presentations on making healthy lifestyle choices and putting on soccer clinics.

Kim Nguyen of Troop 680, a recipient of a Gold Award from the Girl Scouts of Santa Clara County, will be the CyberRays' honorary captain for the April 5 game. Four Girl Scouts also will be selected to participate in the CyberRays' pre-game Brazilian warmup on the field. There will tailgating, free face painting and sign making before the game.
