CyberRays shutdown schedule will close office on Sept. 26

SAN JOSE (Sept. 18, 2003) -- With the WUSA's suspension of operations announced Monday, the San Jose CyberRays have begun the process of shutting down. The first employees to finish their work assignments will leave the team tomorrow. Sept. 26 will be the last day that CyberRays Tower is open to the public.

Here's information on the shutdown schedule that will most affect the public:

CyberRays merchandise: All CyberRays merchandise is now on sale at a 10 percent discount. Fans may purchase on our online store at www.sjcyberrays.com through midnight Sunday. Our retail store at 1991 Park Ave., San Jose is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays through Sept. 26. Tomorrow only we will extend our store hours until 9 p.m. Sales are limited to stock on hand, and that stock includes unused coach and player gear such as polo shirts and backpacks as well as player-worn jerseys, practice jerseys and sweats. However, we can no longer personalize blank jerseys with names and numbers. We have a large number of CyberRays jerseys in youth sizes, and special arrangements can be negotiated for youth team purchases.

Office equipment: A wide variety of office equipment, from laptop computers to paper supplies, will be available for purchase at CyberRays Tower next week.

Website: Our website at www.sjcyberrays.com will remain up until the close of business Sept. 26. Fan comment forms will be available through that date.

Phones: You may call CyberRays office lines and cell phones through Sept. 26.

Player appearances: All appearances by CyberRays players have been cancelled.
