**PREVIOUS ISLANDERS EVENTS: Where the Islanders have been

*Hawaiian Islanders Head Coach Cal Lee and his coaching staff evaluated 67 players on Sunday, February 9, 2003 at St. Louis High School in the first open tryout of the 2003 season. The players went through testing and agility drills in hopes of making the 35-man arenafootball2 League training camp list in March. Although the roster of hopefuls hailed mainly from Oahu, there were others who flew in for the tryout. Of the 67 players, four came from Maui while Texas, New York and Japan each had one.

*Valentine’s Day weekend was a busy one for the Hawaiian Islanders who were visited by more than 800 children and their parents at the Neal Blaisdell Center. The Islanders had their football field inflatable set up along with an obstacle course for the kids. Head Coach Cal Lee, his assistant coaches, and several Islander players were present for an autograph signing session on Sunday. Also the Islander Girls performed Saturday and Sunday outside on center stage before an electrified crowd.
