Kane County Cougars News Release
GENEVA, IL - Thursday afternoon's series finale at Elfstrom Stadium between the Kane County Cougars and the Burlington Bees was postponed due to rain. The Cougars do not host the Bees again in the first half, so the game will be made as part of a doubleheader in Burlington at some point during the teams' May 19-22 series.
The Cougars (7-0), who are off to their best start in team history, took both ends of a doubleheader Wednesday against the Bees (2-5), tossing 17 scoreless innings and, in Game 2, the sixth no-hitter in franchise history. They now travel to Peoria for a three-game weekend series against their intra-state rivals. Friday night's game is scheduled for 6:30 CT, and Travis Banwart (1-0) is the probable Cougars starter.
