Cottonmouths Sign Two Returning Forwards

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) have signed forwards Craig Simchuk and Patrick McCadden. Both players joined the Cottonmouths last season and look to continue their tenure with the team for the upcoming season.

"We are really excited to have these players back," stated head coach Jerome Bechard. "They were very reliable for us down the stretch last year and added a really effective physical presence to the team."

McCadden finished the season last year with 6 goals and 10 assists with a total of 16 points through 55 games; while Simchuk finished the year with 8 goals and 18 assists with a total of 26 points. Simchuk added 2 goals for the team in the playoffs.

Bechard added, "Both of these players played on the same line last year which will be very beneficial to team chemistry for the upcoming season. Having players who have had an extensive amount of playing time together is always essential for a team's success."

The Cottonmouths will start this upcoming season on October 23rd, 2015 when the puck drops at 7:30 p.m. Season tickets are now available by calling 706.571.0086 or visiting the Cottonmouths office at the Columbus Civic Center.
