Columbus Cottonmouths News Release

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus Cottonmouths have announced that they have reached an agreement with ESPN Sports Radio 1580 AM for the 2006-2007 season, making it the radio home of the Columbus Cottonmouths. According to the agreement, all Coach's Shows with Coach Jerome "Boom Boom" Bechard, hosted by Mike Vee, will air on 1580 AM every Monday during the Cottonmouths hockey season from 6-7:00 PM. All Cottonmouths away games will also be broadcast on Davis Broadcasting's ESPN Sports Radio WEAM 1580 AM. Current Davis Broadcasting radio host, Mike Vee, will broadcast all Cottonmouths games and Coach's Shows, becoming the "Voice of the Snakes" for the upcoming season.

"We wanted a radio station to cover our Coach's Shows, but I especially wanted to be sure that our fans would be able to follow our games when we are on the road. With ESPN Sports Radio 1580 AM, we were able to find a station that could cover all Coach's Shows and all away games, allowing a little consistency for our fans," stated Columbus Cottonmouths Head Coach and General Manager, Jerome Bechard. Be sure to tune to ESPN Sports Radio 1580 AM for the first Cottonmouths Coach's Show that will air on Monday, October 23rd, 2006 and the first Cottonmouths Hockey game that will air on October 28th, 2006, when the Cottonmouths take on the Fayetteville Fire Antz.
