CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi IceRays could not solve Tyler Green and were shutout for the fourth time this season, 4-0, against the Wichita Falls Wildcats at the American Bank Center on Friday night. The win brings the Wildcats record to 15-11-2 (32 points) while the Rays fall to 11-15-2 (24 points). With the win, the Wildcats snapped a four-game losing streak while the IceRays have dropped three straight games.
Corpus Christi won two fights as Brandon Marshall and Chance Creger both dropped the gloves.
A scoreless first period saw limited offensive opportunities for both teams. Shots were fairly even with the Wildcats holding an 8-7 advantage.
Pheonix Copley stopped a Mikhail Sentyurin penalty shot attempt early in the second period, but the Wildcats broke the scoreless tie with two power-play goals later in the period to take a 2-0 lead. Wade Bennett (1) and Dakota Klecha (15) tallied the goals for the Cats. Marshall dropped the mitts and won a decision over Klecha in the period.
Wichita Falls put the game away in the third period with two more goals to close the scoring at 4-0. Klecha (16) potted his second of the game and Mac Olson (16) added to his point total later to make the final 4-0. Creger won a convincing fight against Sentyurin in his first fight for the IceRays. Final shots were 34-25 in favor of the IceRays.

The IceRays conclude their homestand on Saturday December 11th against the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7:05 PM.
