Connecticut Crush Kick Off Season In Style

NEWINGTON, CT – April 24, 2003 – The Connecticut Crush Women's Professional Football Team kick off the first home game of the 2003 season with two great events.

On Saturday, April 26th, the Crush will appear at Dick's Sporting Goods at the Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester from 11AM to 3PM. The team will be signing autographs as well as selling season tickets and exclusive team merchandise to promote the 2003 season. Be sure to stop by and see your favorite Crush players!

At 7PM that same day, the Connecticut Crush will host a home game Kick-Off Party at Cargo's Café located at 541 Spring Street in Windsor. All Crush players, coaches, and staff will be in attendance and fans are encouraged to come out and show their support. Tickets are $5 dollars at the door and include all-night food and drink specials, raffles prizes, and live music by the EchoJanes. Don't miss this opportunity to cheer on Connecticut's only women's football team as they begin their home game schedule.

The Crush will host the Rochester Raptors in their home opener on Saturday, May 3rd at Veteran's Memorial Stadium in New Britain. Kickoff is 7:35 P.M. The Connecticut Crush is among 30 teams across the country competing in the National Women's Football Association (NWFA) in 2003. The NWFA is the largest league in the world for women's full contact NFL-type football.
