NEWINGTON, CT â February 26, 2004 â The Connecticut Crush Women's Professional Football Team will host its 2nd Annual Meet & Greet this Saturday, February 28th from 3PM to 7PM at Rookies Sports Bar & Grille on Shunpike Road in Cromwell. Fans will have the chance to meet the entire 2004 Connecticut Crush team and coaching staff as they pose for pictures and sign autographs in celebration of the start of the new spring season. Admission is $12 for Adults and $6 for children. Price includes a full buffet and drink specials as well as many exciting door and raffle prizes. Don't miss this opportunity to meet your favorite Crush player!
The Connecticut Crush opens its 2004 season on the road against the Maine Freeze on Saturday April 10th. The first Crush home game is scheduled for Saturday May 8th at Veteran's Memorial Stadium in New Britain, adjacent to the home of the New Britain Rock Cats. The NWFA, the largest league in the world for women's full contact NFL-type football, was formed in August 2000 with just two teams.
