Condors Add F Cameron Watson

BAKERSFIELD, Calif - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, announced LW Cameron Watson has been signed to an Amateur Try-Out (ATO). To make room on the roster, D Luis Tremblay has been released.

Watson (pictured, right), 23, joins the Condors after completing his senior year with the Western Michigan Broncos of the CCHA. The Cambridge, Ontario, native skated in 123 games with the Broncos, and amassed 21g-20a-41pts and 96 penalty minutes. As a sophomore in 2007-08, Watson led all Broncos with 10 goals in 37 games. The Broncos recently completed their season after falling to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks in their conference quarterfinals.

Tremblay, 26, has appeared in nine games with the Condors, recording no points and 15 penalty minutes. Tremblay has 11 assists and 134 PIM in 46 games between Bakersfield, Toledo and Stockton this season. Additionally, D Chris Allen has been transferred from the 3-day Injured Reserve to the 21-day Injured Reserve. Originally placed on the 3-IR on Mar. 10, Allen is eligible to be activated on Mar. 31.

ON THE DOCKET:

The Condors take on the Victoria Salmon Kings in two games this weekend. Friday is Andrew Ianiero Bobblehead Night, sponsored by KGET-TV 17 and Goodwill Industries. The first 2,000 kids 12 and under will get a bobblehead of Condors Captain Andrew Ianiero.

Saturday is the 6th-annual Condors Fighting Cancer Hockey-Thon, sponsored by 29 Eyewitness News, KUZZ 107.9 and the Bakersfield Californian. There will be an alumni/celebrity game at 5 p.m. at Rabobank Arena, featuring former Condors such as Glen Mears, Paul Rosebush, Jamie Cooke, Paul Willett, Scott Hay and more. Other local names hitting the ice that night include Californian scribe Mike Griffith, ABC23 anchor Chris Van Horne, City Manager Alan Tandy and more. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. The current club takes on Victoria at 7 p.m.
