Kansas City Comets News Release
The Kansas City Comets have traded defender James Togbah to the St. Louis Ambush for cash considerations.
Togbah entered the MASL in 2017 and spent five of his six seasons with the Comets, joining Utica City FC for the 2019-20 season before returning to Kansas City during the 2021 season.
"We are sad to lose Togbah, but this is a decision that is best for him and the organization," said Comets head coach Stefan Stokic. "We wish Togbah the best of luck for the future."
In six seasons in the MASL, Togbah has played 83 games, tallying 32 goals and 14 assists. His most productive season came in 2018-19 when he had 18 goals and eight assists with the Comets.
The Monrovia, Liberia native scored eight goals in 12 games last season and earned Week 5 MASL Defender of the Week.
