November 17, 2014 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Utica Comets News Release

The Utica Comets will hold a food drive to benefit the Utica Food Bank at their game on Wednesday against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Fans are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items by bringing them to the Utica Memorial Auditorium for the 7 p.m. game.

Fans that donate items at The AUD box office (located inside the Labatt Blue Ticket Entrance) can purchase a ticket for that night's game for $12. All items collected will be donated to the Utica Food Bank.

"Our mission is to provide nutritional food to those in our diverse community that are in need," said Chief Russell Brooks, President of the Utica Food Bank. "The Utica Food Bank is moving to the lower level of the Veteran's Outreach Center just in time for the holiday season and needs to stock its shelves."

Over the last several months, Priore Construction and members of local electrical union have donated materials and hours of labor to get this location ready to serve community members. In addition, other local businesses, food pantries and banks, and volunteers have come forward to assist with the project by providing materials, discounts, donations, insight, and support.

For tickets visit www.uticacomets.com or stop by The AUD box office during the week between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
