COMETS SIGN FORWARD CAM DARCY TO AHL CONTRACT

Utica, NY - Utica Comets General Manager Ryan Johnson announced today that the club has signed forward Cam Darcy to an AHL contract.

Darcy, 23, has skated in 12 games with the Comets this season totaling four points (0-4-4) and nine penalty minutes. Last season, the South Boston, Massachusetts native dressed in 34 games with the Syracuse Crunch amassing seven points (3-4-7) and 14 penalty minutes. In addition, the forward appeared in 20 ECHL games with the Kalamazoo Wings collecting 25 points (5-20-25) and a plus-11 rating.

Prior to his professional debut in 2015, Darcy spent two seasons in the QMJHL with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the Sherbrooke Phoenix, where he accumulated 141 points (56-85-141) and 99 penalty minutes in 121 games.

The 6-0, 186-pound forward was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh round, 185th overall, at the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
