ASSINIBOINE PARK ZOO VISIT DETAILS

Winnipeg, MB - The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club is pleased to invite members of the media to join Manitoba Moose players on a visit to Assiniboine Park Zoo on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Moose players will present Assiniboine Park Zoo Head of Zoological Operations, Gary Lunsford, with a cheque representing the $5,793.72 raised from the auction of the team's polar bear themed jerseys worn last season on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017. The presentation will take place at 2:00 p.m. inside the "Gateway to the Arctic" located within "Journey to Churchill" exhibit.

The Moose will also unveil this season's edition of the polar bear jersey. The team will wear the specialty uniform on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 when they host the Iowa Wild. The jerseys will be auctioned off with net proceeds to be donated to Assiniboine Park Conservancy's Polar Bear Rescue Team.

Media attending should arrive at Assiniboine Park Zoo at 1:45 p.m. through the East Gate/Special Events Entrance located at 54 Zoo Drive. Those planning to attend Monday's event are asked to inform Daniel Fink via email at dfink@moosehockey.com or phone at 204-599-9453.
