The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, could only get two shots past Kansas City Comets goaltender Stephen Paterson, as the Comets scored five consecutive goals to beat the Fury 5-2 Friday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Paterson made eight saves, and the Comets blocked 13 more in the game, as Ontario also had three shots bounce off the post, as Ontario could not break through the Comets defense. Ontario opened the scoring, as Juan Gonzalez one-timed a shot from Leonardo de Oliveira that rebounded off the boards. But it was the last Fury goal until the final minute of the game. In between, Kansas City scored five times, including the equalizer just 1:56 after the Fury's opening goal. The Comets spread the scoring around, as Leo Gibson was the only player with more than one point, scoring a goal and assist. The Fury's de Oliveira closed the scoring with 50 seconds left. He finished with a goal and assist. Joey Kapinos was strong in the Fury's net, making 15 saves. Paterson had eight saves for the Comets. Ontario will return to action at 7 p.m. next Friday night against the Southwest Division-leading Soles de Sonora at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Tickets for the game are on sale now at the Citizens Business Bank Arena box office and online at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets can also be purchased through the Fury's offices by calling 909-457-0252.
