The green third jersey announced via the Comets social media channels feature the debut of the Comets U-logo inspired by the famous "U-TI-CA" chant heard at The AUD. The shoulder patch showcases the Vancouver Canucks stick-in-the-rink logo. The third jersey will be paired with the Comets blue helmet, gloves, and hockey pants, and with matching green, with blue and white stripes, hockey socks.
"Our third jersey design is something very special to both myself and this community," said Comets President Robert Esche. "Our fans continually embodied civic pride throughout our last two seasons - especially during last year's playoff run - which exemplifies the bright future ahead for not only the Comets but for the City as a whole."
The Comets green third jersey will be featured in EA Sports NHL 16 video game when the game is released on Sept. 15.
T-shirts with the new logo will be available on Thursday at the Comets Team Store from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. Jerseys will be available to be purchased at a later date.
