
Comets Announce 2015/16 Home Opener

INDEPENDECE, MO (September 8, 2015) - The Missouri Comets announced today that the team's home opener for the 2015/16 Major Arena Soccer League will take place on Friday November 6th at the Independence Events Center. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m.
The opponent for the home opener, as well as the final schedule, will be announced by the league in the coming weeks. Season tickets are available now and can be purchased by calling 855-4KC-GOAL (855-452-4625).
Last year the Comets won the MASL Central Division title after finishing the regular season with a perfect 20-0 record. Longtime Comets striker Leo Gibson was named league Most Valuable Player after setting records for points (93), goals (48), assists (45), points in a game (12) and power play goals (15).
During the offseason, Coach Vlatko Andonovski's team signed 2012 MISL Rookie of the Year Kevin Ten Eyck and goalkeeper Boris Pardo, who played for the Comets from 2011-13. In addition, the majority of last season's players will return for the upcoming campaign.
