Roanoke Dazzle News Release

ROANOKE, Va., September 8, 2003- The Roanoke Dazzle is holding an open house of its new office building on Wednesday, September 17 from 3 – 7 p.m. The event is open to the public, media, and Roanoke Dazzle season ticket holders and sponsors.

"With the start of the third season just around the corner, we wanted to create excitement about the upcoming season," Team President Dennis Robarge said. "Being that the building is so visible from Interstate 581, we thought it would be nice for fans to be able to come in and check it out."

The "Open House" will feature a sneak preview of the 2003-04 season with Head Coach Kent Davison, a tour of the new building, the first appearance by the 2003-04 Star City Dance Squad, and the Dazzle’s mascot Dazz will be on hand for pictures and autographs. The Dazzle will be showcasing the new High Five Pick ‘em Plan, which is five tickets for $45. The High Five plan creates convenience and low prices for fans with a busy schedule. The plan allows fans to use their tickets at games of their choice in any way, starting with the Tip-off plan. A free gift will be offered to fans that purchase the plan that day.

Greg Roberts, the Dazzle’s play-by-play announcer, back for his third season, will host his show "Greg Roberts Live" on WGMN 1240 from the "Open House" from 4 – 6 p.m. Coca-Cola beverages and Valleydale hot dogs will be served.

"This third season will be very important to the Dazzle and the City of Roanoke," Robarge said. "We are hoping the fans will continue to embrace our product like they have the first two seasons."
