
Columbus Destroyers sign AFL veterans Josh Bush and Wes Stephens

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Destroyers have signed wide receiver/defensive back Josh Bush and defensive lineman Wes Stephens, Head Coach Doug Kay announced today.
Bush (5-9, 170, Western Michigan) will enter his fourth campaign in the Arena Football League in 2007. Last season with the Grand Rapids Rampage, he set season-high marks in receptions (65) and touchdowns (13). The Miami, Fla. native caught 165 passes for 1,999 yards and 34 touchdowns in 41 games with the Rampage.
At Western Michigan, Bush is among the top 10 in several receiving categories including receptions (150), receiving yards (1,889) and touchdowns (12). He was selected to the Second-Team All-Mid American Conference in 2001 and 2002.
Stephens (6-4, 265, Middle Tennessee State) enters his fourth season in the AFL. Last season with the San Jose SaberCats he made 14.5 tackles, two sacks and recovered two fumbles one for a touchdown. In three seasons, Stephens has tallied 27.5 tackles, four sacks and three fumble recoveries in 24 career games. In 2003 with the Tennessee Valley Vipers of the arenafootball 2 league, he was honored as the league's Lineman of the Year after posting team records with 11.5 sacks and forcing eight fumbles.
