COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew 2 today announced that it has signed defender Mohamed Farsi, along with forwards Coleman Gannon and Jacen Russell-Rowe to MLS NEXT Pro professional contracts pending league and federation approval. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Farsi, 22, joins Crew 2 following time with Cavalry FC of the Canadian Premier League, where he played from 2020-2021. The Canadian defender made 38 appearances for Calvary FC across all competitions, registering two goals and five assists. In 2020, he was recognized as the Best Under-21 Canadian Player of the Year at the Canadian Premier League Awards. Prior to his time with Cavalry FC, the midfielder spent the 2019 season with Algerian side AS Ain M'Lila. At the international level, Farsi has represented the Canada Under-23 Men's National Team. He has also earned two caps with the Canada Futsal National Team.

Gannon signs with the Black & Gold after playing two seasons with Atlanta United 2 in the USL Championship. The 19-year-old forward made 22 appearances for Atlanta United 2, scoring three goals and providing two assists. Gannon spent four years with the Atlanta United Academy from 2018-2021.

Russell-Rowe most recently played for the University of Maryland from 2020-2021, making 26 appearances. scoring four goals and tallying five assists. The 19-year-old made one appearance for Toronto FC II of USL League One during the 2019 season. A product of the Toronto FC Academy, Russell-Rowe was a nominee for the Canadian Youth International Player in 2019. At the international level, the forward has represented the Canada U-17 Men's National Team, including playing at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil, where he scored two goals in three appearances.
Crew 2 kicks off the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro regular season on the road against Inter Miami CF II at DRV PNK Stadium on Saturday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. The match will be available via live stream on mlsnextpro.com. Ticketing information for the 2022 season will be announced next week.
