Columbus Lions News Release

With the signing of Shaw Lockett earlier in the offseason, the Lions have added crucial offensive line depth with Lance Zeno, a center from Ottawa University.

Zeno is a young center from Beaumont, Texas who spent four seasons with the Braves of Ottawa, Kansas.

In his first three seasons, he was on the defensive side as a defensive end.

After spending his first two seasons on the junior varsity team and seeing no varsity team action, Zeno saw the field in 2017, finishing the year with four tackles.

The next year Zeno redshirted, missing the 2018 season and coming back in 2019 with a new role, as an offensive lineman.

Zeno will now be filling the same role in Columbus on the offensive line. His experience on the defensive side as well as offensive makes him a good fit for the Lions' bench with the new NAL Ironman rules set to take effect. Under these new rules, Zeno will be playing on both sides of the ball.
