San Angelo Colts News Release

San Angelo, TX--The Colts struggles over the last week have been well documented. After sweeping Amarillo, the Colts had rattled off 7 straight losses, including being swept in Edinburg and at home vs Pensacola. At least for one night, that frustration is gone as the Colts peppered the Edinburg Roadrunners with 4 home runs to take an 8-6 win in game one of the series. Mike Henry pitched 8 innings, throwing 134 pitches to get the win. Chad Johnson would toss the 9th and pick up his 1st career save. Player of the month Ryan Harris would get his 2nd straight no-decision vs the Colts as San Angelo got him for 6 runs, 3 earned in 5 innings of work. The loss would be charged to Julio Ruiz, who gave up the game winner in the 8th. San Angelo used a 2-run homer from Eddie Gerald in the 1st, a 2-run homer from Rocha in the 5th, followed by Bert Aguilar's solo shot on the very next pitch. The Colts final dinger coming in the 8th off the bat of Sean Bischofberger, also a 2-run blast. Edinburg would get a homer from Hector Garanzuay. The Roadrunners were lead offensively by Garanzuay and Ryan Webb, each of whom had 3-5 nights. Meanwhile the Colts saw Bert Aguliar post a 4-4 game. The win brings the Colts to within 6 games of the Roadrunners, with 14 to play in the 1st half.
