Colts Trade for Second Baseman Anderson

San Angelo, Texas - March 27, 2006 - The San Angelo Colts announced today that second baseman John Anderson was acquired through a trade with the El Paso Diablos for a player to be named later.
Anderson was the starting second baseman for the Colts in the 2005 season when the Colts came within 12 outs of winning the league championship. Anderson hit .304 with 2 homeruns, 37 RBI's and scored 66 runs in 94 games.
Field Manager Doc Edwards states that he is pleased to have John Anderson on the 2006 team. He had played for Doc at Sioux Falls in 2002 hitting .311. John will provide veteran leadership to the Colts in 2006.
Anderson owns and operates a baseball training program in Sioux Falls for youth in the off-season. He plans on offering instruction for the San Angelo youth after his arrival in San Angelo.
