Colts Sign Landreth and Henschel

San Angelo Colts News Release


SAN ANGELO, Texas---The Colts have signed two more players. First baseman and outfielder, Jason Landreth, enters his third season with the team. Right-handed starter, Brian Henschel, will also be competing in his third year with San Angelo.

Landreth was stellar last season after he had not played professionally for four years. In 28 games, the slugger hit .375 with seven homers, 35 RBI, and 19 runs scored. The former Pittsburgh Pirates prospect reached as high as Advanced-A baseball in the Carolina League. Landreth is batting .311 in his career.

Henschel has contributed to the success of the team as well. The Wisconsin graduate is 18-10 in two seasons, on the mound, with San Angelo. He has eight complete games in 36 career starts.
