Colts Staff Allows Just three Hits, Offense gets 10 runs

Harlingen, Texas---Kenny Elkind, Jameson Maj, and Tom Martin worked together to retire 16 consecutive Whitewings hitters as San Angelo (27-12) was victorious over Rio Grande Valley (17-22) with a final score of 10-1. The Colts offense delivered as well, driving in ten runs atop 14 hits.

San Angelo got out to an early lead in the first inning. Ronnie Gaines began the game with a single and a stolen base. After a Bryan Frichter walk, Jason Landreth hit into a fielders choice placing runners at the corners. Josh Collazo sent a single to left scoring Gaines and placing runners at first and second.
