Colts End Season with a Bang
San Angelo, TX---The Colts ended the season with a bang both on and off the field. With Monday being the Colts final day of the season, San Angelo ended the game with not only a sweep of the Amarillo Dillas, but a season high six game winning streak drawing 3,219 on a fire works night to close out the year. That number was significant because the Colts total season attendance finished at 112,164.
"We made a bigger effort than ever before this past off-season to be involved in some great community events. With large charitable donations, our brand new video board, more promotions, and giveaways than ever before, along with tremendous support from the fans, sponsors, and local media made this all possible" said Colts Director of Community Relations and Broadcasting Ira Liebman
With 48 home games this season the Colts averaged 2,336 fans in the ballpark in 2010. That number gave the Colts the third highest attendance in their history, passing the old third place number of 106,411 set in 2007. It is also the highest attendance total since 2001 (119,139) the second year of the franchise. The most in one season was the first year of the franchise's existence in 2000 (150,770).
