San Angelo Colts News Release
San Angelo, Texas --- The San Angelo Colts announced Wednesday they have traded infielder Trevor Bloom to the Abilene Prairie Dogs in exchange for future considerations.
Bloom was initially traded to the Colts from the Washington Wild Things of the independent Frontier League on February 2 as part of a five-player deal. The Wild Things signed Bloom this offseason, so he never had the opportunity to play for them.
Bloom is entering his rookie season after finishing his collegiate career with Division I Sacramento State University in 2010. There Bloom played the outfield, and hit .306 with a home run and 14 RBIs in 25 games.
With this trade, the Colts now have 11 position players on their active spring training roster. Spring training begins on Monday, May 14.
The San Angelo Colts are a member of United League Baseball who will play their 13th season in 2012. Season ticket plans are on sale now, and available at the Colts' front office at Foster Field.
