Colts announce Fanfest at press conference

San Angelo Colts News Release


Colts Director of Media Relations/Broadcasting Ira Liebman announced today that on Feb 11th the first Sunday after the Super Bowl, the Colts will be holding their first ever Fanfest. "The event will be the first of its kind but will become an annual event and tradition here in San Angelo, and goes to a good cause" said Liebman at today's press conference held at Buffalo Wild who will host the event.

The 2007 Fanfest will be from 12-4 PM on February 11th and the proceeds will go to the Children's Miracle Network chapter here in San Angelo. The event will feature former major leaguers such as Houston Astos' 20-game winner J.R. Richards. Former 1st round pick of the Rangers out of the University of Texas and current assistant coach at Howard Payne University Jerry Don Gleaton. Colts skipper Doc Edwards, as well as former Colts player, and last years American Association MVP Marc Mirizzi, current Colts players and other surprise guests.

Buffalo Wild Wings along with Sports Maniac Cards and Collectables who are booth major sponsor of the event will also be supported by Foster Communications, who will airing a live remote from the Fanfest on KIXY 94.7 FM. The afternoon will include games, prizes, and a silent auction by Mike Wright of Sports Maniac, whose proceeds will also go to the Children's Miracle Network.

Advanced tickets for the event will be $8, and tickets purchased the day of the event will be $10. Tickets will be available at Buffalo Wild Wings, SportsManiac in the Sunset Mall, at the Colts ticket office, or on line at www.sanangelocolts.com .
