Buffalo Bandits News Release

Buffalo, N.Y. (October 29, 2004) -- Buffalo Bandits General Manager Kurt Silcott announced today that Roy Colsey has elected to forgo the entire 2005 season for personal reasons. The Bandits will retain Colsey's rights and expect him to return in 2006. All transactions are subject to league approval.

"While we will miss Roy's services, we certainly respect and understand his position," stated Silcott. "He has a new baby boy at home and that is where his priorities should be and are. He's a great player and we'll look forward to his return for the 2006 season. Ultimately, the travel to and from Buffalo for the 2005 season would simply be too much to ask of him at this time."

Colsey, who was a member of the 2004 MLL champion Philadelphia Barrage, was acquired by the Bandits from the Anaheim Storm in exchange for Ryan Powell in a late season trade on March 22, 2004. He appeared in two of the Bandits' final three games of the regular season, scoring two points (1+1) and was inactive for the 2004 Champions Cup playoffs.

The Bandits will open the 2005 season against the Toronto Rock at the HSBC Arena on Friday, January 7, 2005, at 7:30 PM. Ticket packages are available by calling the Buffalo Bandits Ticket Office at 1-888-467-2273, or fans can purchase packages at the HSBC Arena Box Office or any Tickets.com locations.
