Colorado to Visit Utah For Game 1 on Wednesday, April 22

OREM, UT, April 20, 2009 - The Colorado 14ers will take on the Utah Flash in the 2009 NBA D-League Finals in a best-of-three series beginning on Wednesday, April 22, at the McKay Events Center in Orem, Utah. Tipoff is set for 9:00 p.m. ET
The Southwest Division champions, the 14ers advanced to the Finals with a 114-111 victory over the Austin Toros in the semi-finals on Saturday, April 18. The Flash, the West Division champions, earned their Finals berth by defeating the Dakota Wizards 103-93 tonight in the second semi-final in Orem.
By virtue of their league-leading regular season record, the 14ers will host games two and three of the Finals. Game two will take place at the Broomfield Event Center on Friday, April 24, at 9:00 p.m. ET, while game three will be played at 9:00 p.m. ET on Monday, April 27 in Broomfield if necessary.
The Finals schedule is as follows: Game 1: Colorado 14ers @ Utah Flash - Wednesday, April 22, 9:00 p.m. ET Game 2: Utah Flash @ Colorado 14ers - Friday, April 24, 9:00 p.m. ET Game 3: Utah Flash @ Colorado 14ers - Monday, April 27, 9:00 p.m. ET (if necessary)
The NBA Development League, founded in 2001, is the NBA's official minor league and features 16 teams with direct affiliations to NBA teams for the 2008-09 season. An expansion team will begin play in Portland, Maine for the 2009-10 season. Sixty former NBA Development League players were on 2008-09 NBA start-of-season rosters, and the league continues to develop current NBA coaches and referees. In fostering the league's connection to the community, its teams, players and staff promote youth basketball, support local needs and interests, and assist in educational development through NBA D-League Cares programs. The NBA D-League also advances the game of basketball as the research and development arm of the NBA.
