Colorado Storm News Release

Colorado Springs, CO. Carla Harris, Owner of the ABA's new Colorado Springs professional basketball team today announced that Robert Goughan has been named President/CEO. According to Harris, "One of the reasons that we knew we could make an immediate impact in Colorado Springs was because of Bob. His background in sports, his knowledge of the market and his passion and enthusiasm are outstanding. We couldn't have asked for anyone better."

Goughan has served as President/General Manager and CEO of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox Baseball Club since 1991 and oversaw all daily aspects of the business including hiring and administrating the staff, all budgeting, sales, marketing, promotions, community and public relations and advertising as well as overseeing team travel, equipment and many areas. He served as a Director of the Pacific Coast League and was twice voted Executive of the Year and has also received the "Sporting News" Award for his outstanding achievements.

Goughan added, "Anyone interested in sports can see that the ABA is unique and its growth is unprecedented. Once Colorado Springs sees this exciting, fast-paced brand of professional basketball in action - and the very affordable prices - I think the community will fall in love with it. We'll do everything we can to make Colorado Springs proud."
