December 27, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Colorado Storm News Release

Denver, CO. The Colorado Storm announced today that Roland "Fatty" Taylor will be joining the management team as Vice President of Basketball.

"As a 7 year veteran of the original ABA and a recent inductee into the Philadelphia Big 5 Hall of Fame, Fatty has a lot of knowledge and experience to not only share with the players but with the entire organization," said Antonio "Tree" Adams, Owner/GM of the Storm. "He's a great addition to our organization."

Nicknamed "Fatty" since childhood, Taylor was a star at LaSalle University and helped lead the school to a 23-1 record during the 1968-1969 season. He was picked by Philadelphia in the 1969 collegiate draft. Fatty had his best season as a pro during the 72-73 season with the Virginia Squires averaging 10 points per game and shooting 46 percent from the field. A veteran of 6 ABA playoffs, Fatty was named to the ABA's All-Defensive Team in both 1973 and 1974. He also played one NBA season with the Denver Nuggets.
