Crush Basketball Team Gives Back

December 27, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release

The OC Crush Basketball Team is on a hot streak with their 7-1 winning record. The team is in second place in the ABA's red division, behind the 12-0 Utah Snowbears. The OC Crush will face the Snowbears for the first time in late January 2005.

The team will have to secure another temporary venue until their facility is ready at the Orange County Fairgrounds. All games that have been previously postponed will be re-scheduled beginning in 2005. Crush ticket information should be available with 5-7 business days.

The Crush Partners apologize for this inconvenience to the fans and sponsors within the Orange County Community. There is an ongoing legal matter brewing and the OC Crush Partners hope that it will be resolved in a timely fashion.

As a gift to the fans, the Orange County Crush Partners will host a free inter-squad game at their practice facility (The American Sports Center 1500 S. Anaheim Blvd. Anaheim, CA.) The event will take place on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 7:00pm. Seating is limited. The first 500 fans will get in free. The players and cheerleaders will be available for photographs and autographs. The OC Crush organization believes in giving back to community

The number one player in Taiwan, Sean Chen, has finally received his work visa and will now be able to play in all the remaining Crush games.

The hope of the Crush Partners is that the Fans will come alive in 2005 and support the Crush Basketball Team in their quest to bring home an ABA Championship this season.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
