Colorado Lightning Signs Players Dominguez Jr, Jackson and Quinn

(Loveland, CO) - Colorado Lightning signed three more players to their team. Phillip Jackson from Edmond, Oklahoma, Chad Quinn from Rapid City, South Dakota and Luis Dominguez Jr, from Loveland, Colorado are all players for the 08-09 Season.

Luiz Dominguez Jr from Loveland, Colorado went to Loveland High School and Fort Collins High School. Signed with the Colorado Lightning as a forward. Dominguez played varsity 4 years and lettered 4 years and was also selected to Colorado Second Team All State. Dominguez graduated high school early to play professional soccer for Club Leon in Mexico. He also played at the University of Evansville in Indiana where he lettered three years and received his Bachelor of Science in International Business with a Minor in Spanish. He played on the Semi Professional Fort Collins Fury team. Dominguez grew up learning to play locally in the Thompson Soccer Association and Fort Collins Soccer Club. He enjoys snowboarding in his free time and is also the Assistant Coaching Director for Soccer Touch Academy where he coaches the U17 girls TSA team. "Coaching is my passion," Dominguez said.

Phillip Jackson, "PJ", is a goalkeeper originally from Edmond, Oklahoma, now living in Fort Collins. He attended Edmond Sante Fe High School where he was a 4 year starter and also a 5A State Champion in 1997. He attended St. Gregory's University and received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he received his MBA in General Business in 2003. He was a 4 year Varsity starter and was honored in 1999 and 2000 as the Sooner Athletic Conference Champion. Also, while at Southwestern Oklahoma State University Jackson was a goalkeeper coach in 2001 to 2003. In his free time he enjoys hiking, bike riding, and camping.

Chad Quinn was signed with the Colorado Lightning as an attacking midfielder and forward. He is from Rapid City, South Dakota and now lives in Fort Collins where he attends Colorado State University. He attended Stevens High in Rapid City and was a 4 year letterman. Quinn attended Mars Hill College in North Carolina for two years before enrolling at Colorado State University. During his college career he was recognized as the South Atlantic Player of the Week in 2007 and 30th in the NCAA Division II National Scoring Rank for 11 goals. Quinn was also a part of the Colorado Crimson Football Club and the Colorado Cutthroats semi professional team where he was the leading goal scorer. In his free time, Quinn enjoys rock climbing, camping and skiing.

The coaches and staff of the Colorado Lightning are thrilled for the team to come together as they look forward to the season opener on Sunday, November 2nd at 7pm.

The top-tier of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) has four divisions: Western US, Eastern US, Canada, and Mexico. The Western Division includes the following teams: Stockton Cougars, CA., Wenatchee Fire, WA., Denver Dynamite, Texas Outlaws, Detroit Waza, MI and Colorado Lightning. The Lightning play 16 regular season games and one US Open Cup game in total, nine at home at the Budweiser Events Center. Teams in the PASL will play six vs. six, including goalkeepers, on an indoor field 85 feet wide by 200 feet long during four 15 minute quarters (sudden death, if needed).
