Colorado Ice Face El Paso Generals

FORT COLLINS, CO - The Colorado ICE (5-6) face the Lone Star Division leading El Paso Generals (7-2) this Saturday, June 13th at 7:00 pm (MTN Time) at the Budweiser Events Center. This is the first meeting between the two teams and one of two times they will meet this season, the second time being the ICE's last regular season game on June 27th in El Paso.

The Colorado ICE have found themselves back on the winning track after two successive wins, one on the road against the Odessa Roughnecks (60-50) and one at home last Saturday against the Alaska Wild (73-38). The ICE look to overtake the Fairbanks Grizzlies for second place in the Pacific Division to secure a home playoff game at the Budweiser Events Center. The Generals' offense is led by QB Tommy Jones, the IFL's current leader in passing yards per game with 225. The ICE have high scoring offense led by RB Eugene Reed, WR Josh Gibson, and RB Maurice Cantrell who ran for 74 yards and four touchdowns in last week's game.

"The Generals will prove to be a tough team this Saturday," stated ICE head coach Collins Sanders. "They are in first place in a tough division of Texas teams. With only three regular season games to go, every game we play is critical. Both teams are going to battle it out on every play."

This Saturday's game theme is "Fan Appreciation Night" and will be the ICE's last regular season home game of the 2009 season. The game will be broadcast live via the Internet on the B2 network ( and on the radio on Northern Colorado's ESPN affiliate KJMP AM 870. The ICE's next game will be on the road against the Billings Outlaws on Saturday, June 20th at 6:00pm (MTN).

The Colorado ICE are members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). All home games are played at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado.
