Fort Collins, CO- The Colorado ICE are proud to announce the signings of two players to the Colorado ICE organization. The players are DL Don Holloway and LB Chase Vaughn.
Holloway is a 6'2", 260 lb defensive end from Southern University. During his time at Southern, Holloway recorded 69 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. Holloway has the ability to play across the entire defensive line because of his speed (4.7 in the 40) and strength (30 reps at 225 lbs). This versatility was exhibited throughout his career at Southern as he played DE and DT for one of the best teams in the FCS. Holloway will join two of his former Southern teammates as Bryant Lee and Warren Matthews signed earlier this off-season.
Vaughn is a 6'2", 242 lb linebacker from Colorado State University - Pueblo. CBS Sports rated Vaughn as the 77th best outside linebacker in the nation for the 2009 season. During his two years at CSU-Pueblo, Vaughn accumulated 130 tackles, 34 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, 1 interception, and 2 rushing touchdowns. Before transferring to CSU-Pueblo, Vaughn was an Honorable Mention All RMAC defensive end at Adams State. After transferring to CSU-Pueblo Vaughn became one of the best players in the school's history. Vaughn was selected First Team All RMAC after his junior and senior seasons while also being selected to play in the Valero Cactus Bowl, which brings together the best DII seniors in the nation. Vaughn is also the all time sack leader in CSU-Pueblo history and previously played for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the UFL.
The Colorado ICE are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). All home games are played at the Budweiser Events Center located in Loveland, Colorado. The 2011 season kicks off in February.
