THE GAME:

The Colorado Crush travel for their last regular season road game of the year when they head to Salt Lake City to play the Utah Blaze on Monday, June 4th at 8:30 p.m. MT. The Blaze took the clubs only meeting last season with a 52-40 victory in Colorado on April 21, 2006.

For the second straight week Colorado will look to punch their ticket into the postseason for a fourth consecutive season. The Crush missed their opportunity last week to extend their season when Grand Rapids connected on a

35-yard field goal as time expired to win 58-56.

Fans in attendance and watching around the country on ESPN2 will have a chance to watch a bit of AFL history as Rashad Floyd looks to break his own record for most single-season tackles. Floyd is on pace to yet again break the mark, one he has set in each of the last three seasons. He currently leads the League with 135.0 tackles this season (46 tackles ahead of the second place player Orlando's Lin-J Shell) and only needs to collar 2 tackles to break the record of 136.5.

The Crush/Blaze match-up will also feature two of the League's premiere head coaches. Both coaches are among only five men to have surpassed the 100+ victory total in AFL history. Monday's game marks the 10th meeting between Colorado's Mike Dailey and Utah's Danny White. White leads the head-to-head regular season battle 4-5.

After starting the season at 4-1, Utah hit a skid dropping six of seven games including five straight. The Blaze rebounded back into the win column last

week with a 65-62 victory in Orlando to move their record to 6-7. Utah comes into the game carrying one of the League's top offensive attacks. The Blaze current lead the AFL in total offense (336.5) and passing offense (327.0) and rank second in scoring offense (62.2 points per game).

Utah QB Joe Germaine and WR Siaha Burley lead the Blaze charge and are both having record breaking seasons. Germaine stands first in the AFL in passing yards (4,332) and passing TDs (92). Burley tops all League receiving categories: receptions (138), receiving yards (1,837) and receiving touchdowns (41).

HEAD COACHES:

MIKE DAILIEY, Colorado (107-69, 11th Year): Mike Dailey enters his fourth season in Colorado and 11th as head coach in the AFL, after becoming the Crush's second head coach on June 26, 2003. Dailey joined the Crush following 13 seasons in the Albany/Indiana Firebirds organization, including the final seven as head coach.

One of the most successful and well-respected coaches in AFL history, Dailey's teams have compiled an overall record of 107-69 record, a winning percentage of 60.8. His teams have also made eight postseason appearances and he has won five division titles and two championships. Following the Crush's 44-40 victory over Kansas City on March 10, 2007, Dailey became only the fourth head coach in AFL history to surpass the 100 win mark. He currently stands as the league fourth all-time winningest coach.

In his first season in Colorado, Dailey helped guide the Crush to the largest turnaround in AFL history, inheriting a 2-14 team and leading them to an 11-5 record in 2004. In 1999, Dailey led the Albany Firebirds to their only ArenaBowl championship and was named AFL Coach of the Year. Before being named head coach of the Firebirds in 1997, Dailey served as an assistant in Albany for five seasons.

Dailey began his AFL coaching career with the Washington Commandos where he served as offensive/defensive line coach in 1990. He joined the Firebirds organization in the same capacity in 1991.

Prior to the AFL, Dailey worked as an assistant coach at Towson State University and was the offensive coordinator at Montgomery College-Rockville (Md.). Dailey got his start in coaching in 1981 as a 22-year-old assistant at Georgetown Prep High School in Rockville, Md. The move to coaching followed a semi-pro football career in the Washington D.C. area.

DANNY WHITE, Utah (154-82, 15th Year): During his 15th season as an AFL head coach and second with the Blaze, White has compiled a record of 150-75 and advanced to the AFL Playoffs in 12 of the previous 13 years (hasn't missed the postseason since 1992).

Prior to joining the Blaze, White was the head

coach of the Arizona Rattlers for 13 seasons (1992-

2004). The AFL Hall of Fame coach has two titles (1994

and 1997) to his credit and has made five ArenaBowl

appearances (1994, 97, 2002-04). During his last season in Arizona in 2004, White compiled a 13-6 record and made his third straight ArenaBowl appearance.

White won AFL "Coach of the Year" award in 1993 and officially became the head coach of the Blaze on April 21, 2005.

White guided the Blaze to a 7-9 regular season record during the Blaze's inaugural season. The Blaze also made the postseason before falling to the rival Arizona Rattlers in 2006.

He played quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys (1976-88) and helped lead the Cowboys to the postseason five times and won three NFC East titles during his tenure as starting QB. In his first year as a starter (1980), White set the club single-season record for touchdown passes (28) and then broke the record (29) in 1983. Those records still stand as the top two single-season marks in franchise history. He still owns eight Cowboy records and is the member of four Halls of Fame (Arizona Sports, Arizona State, College Football and Arena Football).

LAST TIME THESE TEAMS MET:

DENVER (4/21/06) - In just his second game since joining the Utah Blaze, quarterback Andy Kelly completed 27 of 37 passes for 314 yards and four touchdowns to direct his new team to a 52-40 win over the Colorado Crush in front of 15,321 onlookers at Pepsi Center on Friday evening.

The Crush dropped to 9-4 with the defeat, which was its second in its last three home games. The expansion Blaze improved to 5-8.

Colorado opened up a 19-14 lead in the second quarter after fullback/linebacker Anthony Dunn sacked Kelly for a safety and then scored on a 1-yard plunge on the ensuing possession. The Crush had a chance to increase that lead after forcing the Blaze to settle for a missed field-goal attempt with 24 seconds remaining in the half, but Utah's Thal Woods intercepted a lobbed toss to give the Blaze possession six seconds later.

Instead, the Blaze would have the game in its grasp the rest of the way. Three plays after Woods' interception, Kelly found Siaha Burley for a 17-yard touchdown connection with two seconds left before halftime. That touchdown put Utah in front 21-19, and the visitors would never trail again.

Kelly would directed the Blaze to five consecutive scoring drives in the second half before the clock ran out on its final possession. He is now 2-0 as the Blaze's starting quarterback and has piloted the team back into playoff contention. It had suffered four consecutive losses prior to his signing with Utah after the Kansas City Brigade released him.

The lone bright spot for the Crush came when offensive specialist Damian Harrell caught three touchdown passes, allowing him to tie the league's single-season touchdown record with 46 scores.

Wide receiver/defensive back Willis Marshall also contributed 211 all-purpose yards and a rushing touchdown.

CRUSH LAST WEEK:

GRAND RAPIDS (5/26/07) - Brian Gowins' 35-yard field goal as time expired lifted the Grand Rapids Rampage to a 58-56 victory over the Colorado Crush Saturday night. With the win, the Rampage sweep the season series from the Crush and move their record to 4-8 while Colorado falls to 8-5. The Crush's postseason plans will have to wait another weeks as a Colorado win would have sent them to the postseason.

Offensive Player of the Game Grand Rapids WR Cornelius Bonner finished the game with four touchdowns on eight receptions for 131 yards. Rampage DB Chuck Wesley was named Defensive Player of the Game registered 11 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery. For Colorado, WR Damian Harrell recorded game-highs with 12 catches for 165 yards and five touchdowns.

The game could not have started worse for Colorado as the opening kickoff rebounded off the nets and was recovered by Grand Rapids' Wesley to put the Rampage up 7-0 with just eight seconds off the clock. Following a Colorado one-yard rushing touchdown by Jason Harmon, the Rampage special teams stuck again when Timon Marshall took the ensuing kickoff 50-yards to give the home team a 14-7 advantage.

The Grand Rapids offense did not take the field until inside of three minutes left in the first half as QB Chad Salisbury would throw two touchdowns in the second quarter, the final one to Marshall with eight seconds left before the break as the Rampage took a 28-23 lead to the break.

Colorado would find themselves down by 19 points, 42-23, mid-way through the third quarter when Salisbury found Bonner on a 37-yard strike. The Crush responded however scoring the contest's next 21 straight points on touchdowns all by Harrell of 21, 4 and 11 yards respectively to put Colorado up 44-42 in the fourth quarter.

The Crush would take their final lead of the game with 20 seconds left as Harrell pulled in his fifth touchdown on the game on a one-yard pass from John Dutton to go up 56-55. With the remaining time, Grand Rapids would work the ball down 18 yards on three plays setting up Gowins final second heroics.

THINGS TO WATCH:

UP FOR GRABS:

This season the Crush secondary has made a huge impact in the team's overall success. Through 13 games, the Colorado defense has set a new club single-season record for interceptions with 19. DB Rashad Floyd has hauled in eight picks, while DB Chris Angel has seven interceptions, which rank tied second and third in the AFL respectively (the team's individual single-season record is 10- Floyd in 2006).

YOUNG BLOOD:

The Colorado Crush took the field in Week 1 with four rookies on their active roster. Not since head coach Mike Dailey's arrival to Colorado in 2004 has he had that many first-year players on his Crush active roster to begin a season.

The Crush currently have four rookies on their active roster with all four of those players starting.

LOCAL TIES:

This season the Crush have found a lot of good-young talent right in their back yard. Here is a list of players that have Colorado ties:

- DL QUINN DORSEY attended Manual High School in Denver.

- FB/LB ANTHONY DUNN attended Centauri High School in Manassa, CO and later played at the University of Northern Colorado.

- OL BRETT HUYSER played his collegiate football at the Air Force Academy.

- WR BRAD PYATT has played football at all three levels of his career in Colorado (Arvada West High School, Northern Colorado and the Crush).

BUILDING A WINNING TRADITION:

The Crush are the winningest team in the AFL regular season since head coach Mike Dailey's arrival, having tied for the league's best record in 2004 (11-5) and finishing with the American Conference's top seed in 2005 (10-6) and 2006 (11-5).

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH:

After finishing their inaugural season 0-8 at home, the Crush are now 26-6 under Mike Dailey (2-1 in the postseason) at Pepsi Center. Two of the six losses consist of a field goal in overtime (42-45) vs. Indiana in 2004 and a 51-48 Chicago win in 2005 on a field goal with three seconds remaining.

LET'S MAKE IT THREE:

Last season, Colorado was the only team to repeat as a division champion. This year, they'll look to become the first team since the New York Dragons (2003-2005) to repeat as divisional champions in three consecutive seasons.

HE KEEPS GOING & GOING & GOING....:

A true AFL Ironman, Kyle Moore-Brown is in his 13th season in the league and has never missed a game. ArenaBowl XIX marked his AFL record 176th consecutive start. The first 139 all came with the Firebirds organization before he signed with the Crush prior to the 2004 season. Kyle's career milestone of 200 came against the New York Dragons on April 15, 2007.

STEEL CURTAIN:

After allowing 14 sacks in 2003 (12 on Dutton), the Crush pass protection has been stellar under head coach Mike Dailey.

The team allowed just four sacks in 2004, and none after Week 6. In 2005, Colorado allowed just six sacks, while holding 10 opponents sackless on the year.

Since 2004, the Crush have allowed just 22 sacks in their last 51 regular season games (total of 2,465 plays).

IT'S NOT OVER TILL IT'S OVER:

Since head coach Mike Dailey has arrived in Colorado in 2004, the Crush have claimed victory in the final minute of the game in seven contests.

2004

- vs. Las Vegas (2/6)- QB John Dutton tosses two touchdown passes to WR Damian Harrell in the final 12 seconds to give Colorado a stunning 43-42 victory.

- at Detroit (5/23)- QB John Dutton found WR/DB Willis Marshall for a 10-yard touchdown pass with one second on the clock as the Crush won 45-42.

2005

- vs. Nashville (5/13)- K Clay Rush splits the uprights on a 31-yard field goal as time expires to give Colorado a 52-49 win.

- vs. Georgia (6/12)- K Clay Rush connects on a 20-yard field goal as time expires to give the Crush a 56-48 victory in ArenaBowl XIX.

2006

- vs. Chicago (1/29)- QB John Dutton hits WR Damian Harrell for a touchdown with one second remaining as the Crush go on to win 65-56.

- at Georgia (2/5)- QB John Dutton finds WR Damian Harrell for a 13-yard touchdown with 45 seconds left to lift Colorado to a 61-59 victory.

2007

- vs. Nashville (4/1)- Down by seven points (41-48) with 50 seconds left, Crush FB/LB Robert Thomas blocks a Kats 30-yard field goal attempt as Colorado scores four plays later to tie the game 48-48. Then Crush DB Chris Angel intercepts a Nashville pass with 32 seconds left and returns it to the Kats one-yard line. Thomas rushes in with six seconds remaining to lift Colorado to a 55-48 victory.
