Colorado 14ers News Release
The Colorado 14ers are the #1 overall seed in the 2009 NBA Development League Playoffs after winning the Southwest Division and posting a 34-16 record in the regular season. Under a new post-season format in the D-League this season, Colorado was allowed to select its first round opponent from the 5-8 seeds.
"I have great respect for all the teams in this year's playoffs as it was a tough decision on who to play," said 14ers Head Coach and General Manager Bob MacKinnon. "We decided to draw for our first round opponent, and we drew the Erie BayHawks. We look forward to a great game Tuesday night and hope that all our fans will come out and cheer us on."

LAST WEEK'S GAMES
April 7 vs. Albuquerque Thunderbirds - Colorado clinched the Southwest Division title and the league's best overall record with a 129-121 win over the T-Birds. Trey Gilder and Billy Thomas combined for 59 points in leading the 14ers to their first division title in team history.
April 8 vs. Albuquerque Thunderbirds - The 14ers set a new NBA Development League single game scoring record with a 155-129 win over Albuquerque. Colorado broke its own record of 147 set earlier this season in Broomfield against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The 14ers also broke their own D-League record of 49 points in a quarter by scoring 52 in the third period of the win. Kentrell Gransberry fouled out with nine points, but the other nine Colorado players finished in double figures on the night.
April 10 at Utah Flash - Denver Nuggets rookie Sonny Weems returned to the 14ers with 21 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Flash in a 124-112 loss. Utah shot 63% from the field in the win over Colorado.
April 11 at Reno Bighorns - Starters Josh Davis and Billy Thomas sat out the regular season finale as the 14ers fell to the Bighorns, 142-126. Sonny Weems had 32 points, seven rebounds, and six assists while Trey Gilder added 25 and 10 boards off the bench in the win.

The 14ers have topped the Power Rankings on www.nba.com/dleague for six consecutive weeks.
Colorado set a new franchise record with 34 wins in the regular season.
The 14ers have qualified for the D-League playoffs in each of the three seasons the team has existed.
The 14ers set new D-League records this season by scoring 52 points in a quarter, 155 in a game, and making 60 field goals in a game.
The 14ers also set D-League season highs with 16 made 3-pointers in a game (twice), and 23 steals in one game.
Billy Thomas has connected on 62 3-pointers this season, and is the D-League leader for career three pointers made with 325.
The 14ers led the D-League in scoring for the third consecutive year averaging 118.9 points per game.
Colorado also led the league in per game averages for field goals made and attempted, three pointers made and attempted, offensive rebounds, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots.
Dominique Coleman led the D-League with 2.9 steals per game.
Josh Davis finished 12th in the league in scoring at 18.8 ppg, and ranked fifth with a .872 free throw percentage, and was third with 2.3 made 3-pointers per game.
Davis and Trey Gilder both finished in the top 8 in the D-League in points per 48 minutes played.
Joe Dabbert was eighth in the league with 1.3 blocks per game.
Eddie Gill's 8.4 assists per game tied for third in the D-League.
Colorado compiled the D-League's best record despite not having any player in the top 27 in minutes per game.
