Colorado 14ers Announce 2008-09 Season Schedule

DENVER - The Colorado 14ers open their 2008-09 season in the NBA Development League on Friday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. MT when they travel to play the Albuquerque Thunderbirds in the first game of a home-and-home season opener against the two teams. The 14ers host their home opener at the Broomfield Event Center Sunday, Nov. 30 at 3 p.m.
The 14ers-Thunderbirds contest is the first of 50 regular season games for Colorado, 24 of which will take place at the Broomfield Event Center. The 14ers will also take part in the 2009 NBA D-League Showcase that will take place from Jan. 5-8 at McKay Events Center in Orem, Utah.
"Now that we have the schedule set, we have some big promotional and theme nights in the works with our marketing partners that will be fun for all in attendance," said Gene Felling, CEO of Broomfield Sports and Entertainment and General Manager of the Broomfield Event Center. "The schedule always brings lots of excitement in the basketball community as a sign that the season is fast approaching."
Also highlighting the 2008-09 NBA D-League Schedule is the All-Star Game and Dream Factory which is part of NBA Jam Session presented by adidas at NBA All-Star 2009 in Phoenix.

Season ticket prices range from $285 to $993 for 24 games at the Broomfield Event Center. Partial season plans are also available. Single game tickets and pricing information will be available soon.

The NBA D-League will continue to have three divisions for the 2008-09 season. The Central and Southwest divisions will feature five teams, while the West division will have six. The Colorado 14ers will play in the Southwest division.
