
Coley Strong in Marauders Win

Bradenton, FL-- RHP Austin Coley (W, 2-2) gutted out 5 1/3 innings to beat the Palm Beach Cardinals for the second time this season 6-1 on Wednesday night at McKechnie Field. Coley walked four and only struck out one but surrendered just a lone run in the first inning.
Bradenton broke through in the fourth inning against Blake McKnight (L, 0-2). 2B Pablo Reyes singles, stole second and ad- vanced to third base on an errant throw by the catcher. 3B Connor Joe singled to tie the game 1-1.
CF Edwin Escobar and SS Kevin Newman started the fifth with consecutive singles. 2B Kevin Kramer put down a sacrifice bunt to advance the runners. LF Jordan Luplow's sacrifice fly brought the go-ahead run across.
The Marauders extended the lead with three runs in the seventh. RF Michael Suchy walked and moved to second on a sacri- fice by Escobar. Newman's single put men on the corners. Kramer's first pitch sacrifice fly plated the first run of the inning, and after McKnight walked Luplow and was lifted, 1B Jerrick Suiter struck for a two-run double off Kyle Grana. Escobar brought home Bradenton's final run in the eighth inning with an RBI ground out.
RHP Junior Lopez replaced Coley with a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning and protected the lead through the eighth. Despite al- lowing leadoff doubles in the seventh and eighth, Lopez did not allow a run while striking out three. RHP Miguel Rosario tossed a scoreless ninth.
