Cody Decker Named Texas League Player of the Week

San Antonio - For the second consecutive week San Antonio Missions infielder Cody Decker has been named the Texas League Player of the Week.

He earned this week's award (May 7-13) by hitting .368 (7x19) in six games with four home runs and eight RBI while recording a .435 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage.

Decker also earned the honors for the week of April 30-May 6 when he hit .400 (8x20) with three homers and six RBI in six games.

On the season, the 25-year old native of Santa Monica, CA is hitting .295 (31x105) in 34 games with four doubles, a triple, 13 home runs, 25 RBI, 20 runs scored and a .385 on-base percentage.

Decker is currently tied with teammate Nate Freiman for the Double-A lead in homers and he is tops in Double-A in slugging percentage (.724) and HR/at-bat (1/8.08). He also ranks fourth in the Texas League in RBI and total bases (76).
