Cobras Owner to Speak at Gaston County Schools Business Luncheon

Pete Loftin, owner of the Carolina Cobras Arena Football League franchise, will serve as the keynote speaker for the Gaston County Schools Business Partnership Luncheon. Guests will include over 600 business partners and mentors that serve the students of Gaston County.

This annual event features over 600 local business partners and mentors that dedicate their valuable tools in changing the lives of the youth of Gaston County. Loftin will speak to those in attendance on the motivation and development of youth and the role that athletics can play in the education process. The event will also feature the announcement of the recipients of the community-based Paul F. Fuller Scholarship and a vocal performance by Brittany Murray, Mrs. Hunter Huss.

Loftin has been the major shareholder of the Carolina Cobras since the team was founded in Raleigh, NC in 1999. With the move to Charlotte, he has taken control of the day-to-day management of the franchise and complete ownership of the team. Loftin has been significantly involved in the business and community affairs of North Carolina. Loftin is also vice-chairman of the Public Relations Committee of the Board of Governors of the American Red Cross in Washington D.C. He has made significant charitable donations to worthy organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of Wake County and the BTI Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh was named after his company.
